The Inconvenient Movie

Now I know the purpose of watching this movie was to educate myself on the whole concept of global warming, but I just can't ignore how BORING this movie is! I'm already well aware of our contribution to CO2 emissions and the GHG's and how we're the only country who didn't participate in the Protocol, etc, etc. It doesn't make a difference how much more I learn about global warming, because I just reached the point where I stopped caring.
Of course it's a kind of overwhelming thing to grasp, but yes this is the reality that we have created for ourselves. And it's so clear that humans are not going to unite internationally to take care of this problem, even though this should be like the universal priority. Because of the fact that nobody is going to make an effort unless they, as an individual, get something out of it, I just stopped caring.
It makes no difference to me now, because people are just so hopelessly ignorant and so self-centered that I don't think there's anyway for global warming to be terminated. Even if a couple of continents passed a very successful movement, it would do nothing but postpone the inevitable degradation of this planet. And as soon as the losses begin...that's when the population as a whole will sadly, pitifully and desperately make a feeble, futile attempt to cure the virus we all helped create. I think this movie was great, because it really scrutinized global warming and made it painfully real, but for that same reason I think this movie sucked.
